Wells Township special meeting to tour Township roads

 

 

On Friday April 10, 2014 the Wells Town Board met at 4:45 P.M. to review and evaluate the Township roads. In attendance were Jeff LaCanne, Nancy Johnson, Rich Cap, Marlene Pohl and James Zahn. The Township roads were driven and the findings are listed below:

 

195th Street- The ditches were measured and it was determined that Century Link should bury their cable inside of the telephone poles. Road needs 2 belly dumps along the flat area.

Douglas Avenue- 2-3 belly dumps between 195th and Wells Lake Blvd.

Wells Lake Court – needs a patch approx. 24’ X 240’ at Fire Call #4060. Street signs need replacing Wells Lake Way and Wells Lake Court.

Canby Way- 2 belly dumps (1 at the corner)

Chappuis Trail- wait until the sewer project is complete.

Roberds Lake Trail and Dassel Avenue- chip seal

Farwell Avenue- Have rocks in the ditch by the mail box 18025, 18075 removed. 3 belly dumps (1 right off of blacktop)

Garfield Trail- Should mill the north- south section of the road. Need input from the subordinate service district.

Fairbanks Avenue- Wood fence is 4’ into the right of way. South of Cedar Lake Blvd.

Check culvert and clean out ditch.

 

177th  Street. Dead end sign is down and stop sign at public landing is down.

 

175th Street Stop ahead sign is down.

Elmore Avenue needs patch

Elmore Trail – cracked and allageatored

177th Street French Lake public access- clear ditch, Stop Ahead sign is down

French Lake Trail- patch in over culvert by Petrecka’s.

Canby Avenue needs 3 Belly Dumps North of 21

Check out possibility to put in a turn around at the end of 165th Street.

Elgin Court – 2 Belly Dumps and clear brush in curve

Bellview Trail Trim Willows and 3 belly dumps

199th Street clean ditches, trim brush and small load of crushed rock for the turn around. Rock is done.
