Wells Township Board Meeting Minutes December 9, 2019
Jeff LaCanne called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Jeff La Canne, Colin Johnson, Brandon Miller and James Zahn. Also present were Ron Velzke, Jon Winjum and Cindy Schmidt.
Minutes of the November 11th meeting were read. Colin Johnson moved to accept the minutes, Jeff LaCanne seconded the motion and it passed.
Brandon Miller read the Treasurer’s report for November 2019. Colin Johnson moved to accept the report as printed, Jeff LaCanne seconded the motion and it passed.
The bills for the month were reviewed. Jeff LaCanne moved to approve the bills for payment. Colin Johnson second. Motion passed.
Issues from the Floor:
Cindy Schmidt was concerned with the slippery conditions on the hill on Elmore Avenue by Ung’s Resort.
Old Business:
Colin Johnson presented a road log showing the issues from mid-November thru mid-December.
Wells Lake Way and Court road repairs were completed.
New Business:
Ron Velzke was concerned about bid specifications and letting the bid for the project on French Lake. He was advised the bid requirements would be put together in January and advertised in January.
Offices up for election in March were reviewed filing dates were reviewed. Backup polling places were discussed.
Jeff LaCanne moved to adjourn and Colin Johnson seconded the motion. The motion passed
