Wells Township Board Meeting Minutes, January 3, 2017
On Tuesday January 3, 2017 the Wells Town Board met at the Wells Town Hall. Members present were Jeff LaCanne, Rich Cap, Marlene Pohl and Jim Zahn. No one appeared before the board in January.
Chairman Jeff LaCanne opened the meeting with the pledge of allegiance. The minutes of the December 5, 2016 meeting were read by Jim Zahn. Rich Cap moved to accept the minutes and Jeff LaCanne seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Marlene Pohl gave the Treasurers report. Expenses for the month were $6,677.89. Jeff LaCanne moved to accept the Treasurers report and Rich Cap seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The Bills were reviewed for payment. Rich Cap moved we pay the bills. Jeff LaCanne seconded the motion and the motion carried.
Jim Zahn advised that the office of Treasurer held by Marlene Pohl and the office of supervisor held by Jeff LaCanne were up for election at the Annual meeting on March 14, 2017. The filing period for this election is from January 3 to January 17, 2017.
Jeff LaCanne advised that we were unable to get gravel from Kielmeyer to store because with the rain it was freezing in the trailer.
The December building permits were reviewed.
Rich Cap moved to adjourn the meeting and Jeff LaCanne seconded the motion and it carried.
