Old Business:

Jim Zahn reported the August 9 primary election had a very poor turnout. There were only 61 voters out of 1002 registered that voted. There was very little to vote for in the primary.

Rich Cap advised that the blacktop repair projects were still in LaCanne Paving’s schedule and will be done later in the year.

After reviewing road conditions Jeff LaCanne felt we needed 5 more belly dumps of gravel to get the roads in good shape. Jeff LaCanne moved to purchase 5 more belly dumps of gravel and Rich Cap seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Frank Raushnot was concerned about pot hole on the hill by Brian Chmelik on Elmore Trail and wants cold patch applied since it is taking so long for La Canne paving to patch the road.

Roy Winjum has an employee who needs to complete community service and he wondered if he could have his employee mow township ditches to fulfill his obligation. The township will work on that with Roy.

Jeff LaCanne moved to adjourn the meeting and Rich Cap seconded the motion and it carried.

Respectfully Submitted

Jim Zahn Clerk
