Members present were: Jeff LaCanne, Nancy Johnson, Rich Cap, Marlene Pohl and James Zahn.

Also present were Colin Johnson and John Purdie.

Chairman Jeff LaCanne opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and then asked if anyone was recording the meeting. He received no response.

The Minutes of the January 5, 2015 meeting were read by Jim Zahn. Rich Cap moved to accept the minutes and Nancy Johnson seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Marlene Pohl gave the Treasurers report. Jeff LaCanne moved to accept the Treasurers report and Rich Cap seconded the motion. The motion carried.

The bills were then reviewed and approved for payment.

Rich Cap reviewed our FEMA disaster application and work sheets. We applied for reimbursement of $22,689.55 in flood damage and $375.20 in mitigation costs. The total amount we should recover is $23,064.75.

Marlene Pohl has a source for purchasing the approved safety cones and barricades. She wants to purchase heavier cones which are what most Townships and Counties use. The Board Ok’d the purchase of the heavier cones and the barriers.

Jim Zahn reported that we had received the easement from the DNR for the Roberds Lake Access road. He has had the easement recorded and was sending a recorded copy to the DNR at their request.

Jeff LaCanne reported that the barricades were up for the closing of 160th Street and Becker Avenue.

Jim Zahn had a brochure from LTAP on Pavement Rehabilitation: Products, Processes and Strategies. The Board felt this was a worthwhile seminar but none of the members could attend. After discussion it was decided to allow John Purdie attend this seminar if it fit in his schedule. He would be representing the Township and the Township would cover the cost.

Jim Zahn then reviewed the sample ballot for the March 10, 2015 election. The election is for Treasurer and one Supervisor. Both incumbents are running unopposed.

It was then discussed that Ed De Grood had tiled thru the road on Canby Avenue. The road will repair in this area in the spring and Mr. DeGrood will be responsible for the repair.

Setting up a meeting to finish the Road Policy was discussed and a special meeting was set up for February 28, 2015 at 8:00 A.M. at the Town Hall.

Nancy Johnson Moved to adjourn the meeting and Rich Cap seconded the motion. The motion carried.
