The breaking up of the road in front of the three homes built by John McDonough, Marc Westergren and Andy Valentyn was discussed. After much discussion it was decided that the board would wait until after the spring thaw to determine with the home owners any responsibility they may have for the repair.

The issue of Dave Bates putting cones on the edge of the road and having negative discussions with the blade operator and the company he works with was discussed with Dave Bates. He was advised that the company plowing snow and blading the roads was following township directions. Mr. Bates was directed to remove the cones he had along the edge of the gravel or the township would have the sheriff cite him for obstruction. He was also directed to leave Met Con and their employees alone and bring his issues to the town board.

The issue with the gravel getting soft at the top of the hill where Elgin Court intersects with Highway 21 was discussed. Recycled black top was discussed as a possible solution to the problem. Jeff LaCanne moved the township apply recycled black top from highway 21 down the hill and Rich Cap seconded the motion.

Jeff LaCanne presented a bill that Roger Wutschke submitted to Met Con for cleaning sand from his garage. The sand came from the roads after sanding due to ice and snow. The sand was required to make the roads safe. Nancy Johnson moved to not reimburse Mr. Wutschke for the cost of sweeping his garage. Jeff LaCanne seconded the motion and it carried.

The January building permits were reviewed.

Nancy Johnson moved to adjourn the meeting.  Rich Cap seconded the motion and it carried.

Respectfully Submitted
