Wells Township Board Meeting Minutes February 8, 2021
Jeff LaCanne called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Jeff LaCanne, Rich Cap, Colin Johnson, Brandon Miller and James Zahn.
Also present was Roger Stoick.
January minutes were read by Jim Zahn. Colin Johnson moved to approve the minutes. Rich Cap seconded the motion and it passed.
Brandon Miller read the Treasurer’s report for January. Colin Johnson moved to accept the report and, Rich Cap seconded the motion and it passed.
The bills for the month were reviewed. Jeff LaCanne moved to approve the bills for payment. Colin Johnson seconded the Motion and it passed.
Issues from the Floor:
Old Business:
Roger Stoick driveway permit request was discussed. In a discussion with the Attorney for MAT since Mr., Stoick has an access to his property a second access could be denied. The board didn’t want a field driveway off this residential street when there was already access of from a County Road.
New Business:
Colin Johnson has filled out a grant application for road improvements on 175th and 177th Streets. The townships need to support this with a resolution and request support from the county. Jeff La Canne moved and Rich Cap seconded a motion to adopt Resolution 2021-1 supporting this project. The motion passed.
Jeff LaCanne moved to adjourn the meeting. Rich Cap seconded the motion and it passed.
