Wells Township Board Meeting Minutes, July 9, 2018
Jeff LaCanne called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Jeff LaCanne, Rich Capp, Colin Johnson, Flavia Berg and James Zahn.
Also present was Lowell Berg.
Minutes of the June 2018 meeting were read and Colin Johnson moved to accept the minutes and
Rich Cap seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Flavia Berg read the Treasurer’s report for June 2018. Colin Johnson moved to accept the report as printed on the attachment. Rich Cap seconded the motion and it passed.
Rich Cap moved to approve the bills for payment. Jeff LaCanne seconded the motion and it carried.
Progress of the road maintenance based on the road tour was reviewed. Raw Construction has begun doing some of the project and should complete Canby Ave. by mid-July.
The new fire truck is here and in use.
The new air conditioner has been installed and the locks have been changed for the town hall. Jeff La Canne will get an electrician to update the lighting, install a ceiling fan and add outlets in the town hall.
The turnaround on Elmore Trail was discussed. People are using it for parking and blocking it. Putting up no parking signs was discussed.
Trucks’ tearing up the ditch on 195th street was discussed and is still a problem.
Jeff LaCanne moved to adjourn and Rich Cap seconded the motion and it passed.
