Wells Township Board Meeting Minutes January 8, 2024
Jeff LaCanne called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Rich Cap, Brandon Miller, Kevin Loken and James Zahn.
December minutes were read by James Zahn. Rich Cap moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Kevin Loken, the motion passed.
Brandon Miller read the Treasurer’s report for December. Rich Cap moved to accept the report and Kevin Lokin seconded the motion and it passed.
Bills for the month were reviewed. Rich Cap moved to approve the bills for payment. Jeff LaCanne seconded the Motion and it passed.
Issues from the Floor:
Some electrical and plumbing issues still need to be resolved to complete the Town Hall update.
Sign Inventory will be completed in January if the weather holds.
New Business:
The Appeals Court ruled in favor of the Roger Stoick Driveway. After discussion the board will hold a closed door session with our attorney on January 16 to discuss the townships options on this issue.
Jim Zahn advised that only Kevin Loken running for supervisor and Jim Zahn running for clerk filed for office.
Jeff LaCanne moved to adjourn the meeting. Rich Cap seconded the motion and it passed.
