Chairman Jeff LaCanne opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes of the May 5, 2014 meeting were read by James Zahn. Rich Cap moved to accept the minutes and Nancy Johnson seconded the motion. The motion carried.

The Treasurers Report was given by Marlene Pohl and the current checking balance is $104,224.12. Nancy Johnson moved to accept the Treasurers Report and Rich Cap seconded the motion. The motion carried.

The issue of 177th Street being a Township road and the Township owning the right of way was discussed. After much discussion the Board advised the residents that based on the opinion of the Attorney for the Minnesota Association of Township’s this road remained a private cart way and the Township didn’t own the right of way. Until the residents decide to bring the road up to Township standards no further action is planned by the Board.

The Board was advised the DNR was looking for the easement on the road to the public access on Roberds Lake and wondered if we had a copy. Marlene Pohl and James Zahn met with Joel Wagar of the DNR to provide the information we had. His interest was because the DNR was planning to sell the Hollenbeck’s enough property to give them access to 177th Street to help them resolve their land lock issue.

Marlene Pohl reported that all the gravel needed based on the road check, had been spread.

The issue of Becker Avenue and 166th Street becoming minimum maintenance roads was discussed and no action was taken.

Marlene Pohl reported that dust coating for the roads was planned for some time.

The Board decided to have Colin Johnson get quotes for work on Garfield Trail, Wells Lake Court, Dassel Avenue and Roberds Lake Trail.

All bills were approved and paid.

The meeting adjourned at 8:55 P.M., motion by Nancy Johnson and seconded by Rich Cap.

Respectfully submitted by
