Wells Township Board Meeting Minutes, August 13, 2018
Rich Cap called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Rich Capp, Colin Johnson, Flavia Berg and James Zahn.
Also present was Lowell Berg, Ken Meyer and John Winjum.
Minutes of the July 2018 meeting were read and Colin Johnson moved to accept the minutes and
Rich Cap seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Flavia Berg read the Treasurer’s report for July 2018. Colin Johnson moved to accept the report as printed on the attachment. Rich Cap seconded the motion and it passed.
Rich Cap moved to approve the bills for payment. Colin Johnson seconded the motion and it carried.
RAW Construction has completed the road maintenance that was planned.
Dust Control was completed for the year and was scaled back from previous years.
The wiring and lighting projects at the town hall were completed.
Roberd’s Lake Trail, Dassel Ave. repave was discussed and we are waiting on the contractor.
French Lake Trail MN. DOT safety study was discussed and waiting on the State to complete the study.
Strobel Tree Service is interested in doing weed control in the ditches and would like to know if the township was interested in that service before they spent the time with the permitting process. Colin Johnson was going to advise them we were interested based on pricing and timing.
The quality and dependability of Met-Con’s summer road maintenance was reviewed. Jon Winjum offered to have RAW Construction take over township road maintenance summer and winter. If the township was interested he needed to know soon as he needed to add some equipment. It was decided to put the item on the September agenda when all the supervisors were available.
Colin Johnson moved to adjourn and Rich Cap seconded the motion and it passed.
