On Monday, March 3, 2014 The Wells Town Board met at the Wells Town Hall.
Board members present were Rich Cap, Jeff LaCanne, Nancy Johnson and Marlene Pohl. Absent was appointed Clerk Jim Zahn. Also present was Jon Hansen.
Chairman Jeff LaCanne opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Clerk’s and Treasurer’s report was given by Marlene Pohl. Motion to accept the minutes as read by Rich Cap – Seconded by Nancy Johnson – carried.
Jon Hansen reported that Becker Ave. was cleared by Met-Con with a pay loader. Now there is a pile of snow to the entrance of Becker Ave. off of 165th St.W. which Jon Hansen wants removed.
Also discussed was the Annual Meeting and Election Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Discussed the Jorgenson Court Case 9:00 a.m. March 20, 2014. Board will meet Saturday, March 15, 2014 to discuss the Jorgenson Court Case.
The Annual Rice County Officers Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Hall, Shieldsville, Minn. at 7:30 p.m.
Wells Township Assessment Day is Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at the Wells Town Hall.
The Budget or Levi will be the same as last year.
General Revenue Fund $ 10,000.00
Road & Bridge 136,000.00
Fire 15,000.00
Total $161,000.00
With no further business, Nancy Johnson moved to adjourn, 2nd by Rich Cap. Meeting adjourned.
