Wells Township Board January 7, 2013 Minutes
On Monday, January 7, 2013, the Wells Town Board met at the Wells Town Hall.
Board members present: Don Langer, Marlene Pohl, Nancy Johnson and Jeff LaCanne
Also present were Jim Zahn and Kevin Teick
Chairman Don Langer opened the meeting at 7:05 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
The clerks and treasurers report for December were given and accepted.
Balance in checking is $134,821.6
Donald Langer reported on attending the airport meeting. Discussed was enlarging the runway from 5,000 feet to 5,000 to 5,500 feet. This enlargement will give concerns to Canby Avenue, a Wells Township road. It may have to be closed or moved. Future meetings will be held.
Jeff La Canne moved to accept the resignation of Shelby Phillips as Clerk of Wells Township as of 1/7/2013, Nancy Johnson seconded. Motion carried.
All bills were approved and paid.
