Wells Township Board April 1, 2013 Minutes
On Monday, April 1, 2013, the Wells Town Board met at the Wells Town Hall.
Board members present: Don Langer, Marlene Pohl, Nancy Johnson, Jeff LaCanne, Rich Cap and James Zahn Deputy Clerk
Also present were Collin Johnson, Anna Cook, Donald Cook, Ted Tuma, Susan Tuma, Bill Homblad, Flavia Berg and Lowell Berg
Chairman Don Langer opened the meeting at 7:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes of the March 5, 2013 meeting were read by James Zahn. moved to accept the minutes as amended by Jeff La Canne, seconded by Nancy Johnson . Motion carried
Treasurer’s report was given by Marlene Pohl.
Current checking account balance $112,640.49
Snow Removal expense $10,000.00
Motion to approve by Jeff La Canne second by Nancy Johnson
Rich Cap was sworn in as Supervisor by Jeff LaCanne the new Board Chair
Jon Peterson from Bolton & Menk Eng. Reviewed plans for the Roberds Lake sewer system.
Roberds Lake Trail & Dassel Ave. Blacktop assessment was reviewed and the Township is looking into getting the county to seal coat. Current Rice County seal coating cost is $15,000 per mile.
Phillips development ditch along Wells Lake Court road is issue with water run off this spring.
The Deputy Clerk was directed to Submit letter to Phillips to provide specs for ditch to address the water problem.
Motion to keep Don on airport commission made by Nancy Johnson, Second Rich Cap Motion carried.
Hospital Board selection committee will be represented by Rich Cap.
All bills were approved and paid.
